Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people affected by eating distress?
Eating Distress North East (EDNE) is the only eating distress charity in the region, with a 30 year track record of supporting people with eating distress, and their loved ones. We are recruiting for counsellors to work with clients age 16+ and dealing with issues associated with eating distress / disorders.
We’re a mental health charity who understand that eating distress and disorders are a manifestation of mental health distress.
Our counselling approach is integrative and person-centred. As part of our counselling team, you will contribute to the holistic approach that EDNE services take to improving the health and wellbeing of people with eating distress. We are currently operating a blended service and counselling will be provided both in person and remotely.
Newcastle and Gateshead
We are looking for counsellors to work with residents of Newcastle and Gateshead from our Newcastle city centre base, with some outreach work, both in person and online. We can be flexible on hours and will consider one full time post or two part time (18.5 hours minimum) posts.
