Eating Distress North East (EDNE) is the only eating distress charity in the region, with a 36-year track record of supporting people with eating distress and their loved ones.
We are recruiting for two counsellor positions, one to work with students at Newcastle University, and one to work with residents of Durham and the Tees Valley area.
Counsellor for EDNE and Newcastle University
EDNE and Newcastle University have worked closely for several years, with our specialist counsellors working within the Student Wellbeing Service to deliver counselling /psychotherapy to students at Newcastle University.
You will work in Newcastle University Student Wellbeing Service and be employed by Eating Distress North East, benefiting from support and development opportunities across both organisations and colleagues.

Interviews: Tuesday 6th May at Newcastle University.
Durham / Tees Valley Counsellor
You will deliver online and in-person specialist eating distress counselling /psychotherapy, working hybrid and from outreach bases in the region, to residents of Durham and the Tees Valley.
Deadline for applications: 5pm on Friday 25th April.
Interviews: Friday 9th May at EDNE offices, Newcastle.
For both roles, you will need to be a qualified counsellor, with two years’ experience and developed understanding of working with people with mental health/eating distress.
